Welcome to the Australian General Practice Research Foundation's online grants application service, powered by SmartyGrants.

Thank you for your interest in our Therapeutic Guidelines Research Grant, supported by Therapeutic Guidelines Ltd.

Therapeutic Guidelines Ltd (TGL) is an independent not-for-profit organisation that uses evidence and expert groups to provide health professionals with reliable and independent therapeutic information to help them make the best decisions for their patients. Guidelines are written principally for prescribers to provide them with clear, practical, succinct and up-to-date therapeutic information for a range of diseases. TGL has partnered with the Australian General Practice Research Foundation to deliver the Therapeutic Guidelines Research Grant since 2011.

Grant details

Grant amount: One to two grants with a combined total value of $100,000 (excluding GST)

Funding period: 18 months

Focus area: The use and/or implementation of TGL guidelines in general practice, focusing on one or more of the following themes:

  • Outcomes/impact of TGL guidelines use. What are the benefits of using TGL guidelines? How do they improve prescribing and health outcomes?
  • Evidence-practice gaps. How could TGL guidelines be used to improve evidence-based prescribing?
